Dr Richard Curran, MB,Bs, FRACS
Surgeon

Dr Elizabeth Acton MB, BS (Hons), DRANZCOG
Assistant Surgeon

Dr Acton completed her MB BS with Honours at the University of NSW in 1978. This was followed with three years at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney; her final year as Anaesthetic Registrar. Dr Acton then earned her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology after training at King George V Hospital in 1982. Dr Acton has since been in Family General Practice, initially in Mosman, then Lindfield and now Wahroonga. Dr Acton has always had an interest in surgery and has assisted in theatre at St Vincent's Hospital, Dalcross Hospital, The Mater Hospital and the SAN Hospital.

Dr Jenny Clark MB, BS (UNSW)
Assistant Surgeon

Dr Clark earned her MB and BS from University of New South Wales in 1977.

From 1978-1982 she was an RMO and a rural GP in the New England district of NSW. Dr Clark practiced at Best Road Medical Centre in Seven Hills until 2002. She has also practiced in Carlingford and Castle Hill. Dr Clark is diversely interested in health; as a medical educator she has made presentations on Obesity and previously hosted 2UE's "Good Medicine" program

Dr Clark has worked as an assistant surgeon at Castle Hill Day Surgery, the SAN, Westmead Private, Hills Private, and the Mater Hospitals.

Dr Matthew Lilley BMed FANZCA
Anaesthetist

Dr Lilley completed his medical degree in Newcastle and then specialized in Anaesthesia while working at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. He has worked in England at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and more recently in the United States at the University of Washington Medical Centre where he anaesthetised patients having heart, lung, and liver transplants. Currently Dr Lilley works at the Sydney Childrens Hospital and in private practice at several hospitals in Sydney.

Helen
Dietician

Helen is part of the SAN staff and has an interest in weight loss surgery; she will support you during your hospital admission as well as coach your weight loss progress.

Rebecca is the practice manager while Judy and Marilyn will look after you when you come to our rooms.

We are willing to involve your general practitioner in managing your medical problems during your weight loss period and have an additional number of specialists that work with our practice in order to provide safe surgery and good outcome.

Some of our older patients are interested in providing support to the ones in need while the waiting room is a great opportunity for you to meet with other patients as most of the patients attending the rooms have had gastric banding surgery.
